Symantec endpoint protection client not updating policy
If you choose to use product updates as well as content updates, you should not replicate product updates between sites because these updates can be quite large, and one exists for every language that you select. If a client is not receiving policy changes, the first troubleshooting step is to determine if the client is actually connected to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
It handles security policy enforcement, host integrity checking, and automated remediation over all clients.Symantec recommends that you use this method unless network constraints or your company's policies require an alternative. If you have a large number of clients or bandwidth issues, you might use this method, along with Group Update Providers.By default, the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager downloads content updates from the public Symantec Live Update servers.
Symantec Endpoint Protection clients then download these updates from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
The Endpoint Protection Manager then uses these definitions to distribute updates to clients.
